"The George Hotel is a wonderful place and one that I will remember well. It's near to Hadrian's Wall and many other old Roman sites to explore. The George Hotel has a charm that countryside adventurers will love. Hikers from the wall come and go and share their stories. That bridge and the river provide a scene that you will remember. Although there is no lift, we found out that the room was easily accessible from the upper parking spaces. Staff was super friendly. The food was excellent and just what you would want after a long day exploring. Try the local beers! I definitely recommend."

"Excellent - owners were lovely and accomodated my limited mobility needs. Renovation on the once delapidated property was superb. Additional shop v appealing and insight into restoration business. Great outside space (the weather was superb) v cosy lounge for residents which would be lovely. Only comment breakfast was a little on the cool side. The whole experience was wonderful and i shall definately return."

"The location was excellent. Morpeth is a beautiful town and everything is within easy walking distance of the Premier Lodge. My only criticism is that the Lodge is a red brick building and looks nothing like the photo. Nothing wrong with it though."

"We had clear instructions round on how to find the parking. Very accommodating with the dog, even asked if we would need letting out in the night to take the dog out! Food in the bar was amazing & the portion size was very generous & a great price! Bed was the most comfortable bed I’ve slept in away from home & the bed was huge! Would definitely recommend this hotel to stay in & to grab food locally! "
