"We always like to stay at the Blue Gate Inn. The rooms are decorated in country style and roomy. The breakfast is the clincher!!! Personal omelette made to order and abundance of other hot foods. Don’t need to eat again until dinner. If I had to say anything that needs to be approved is the toilet paper!! For as much as we pay I think they can have thicker paper! "

"We stopped for the night in the middle of a long drive. Dinner in South Bend, near the University of Notre Dame, then another half hour to our room. The hotel and its staff perfectly met our needs. It was clean, quiet and pretty well-maintained. Our bathroom showed some noticeable wear but the bedroom was great. We only met the front clerk in passing, but they came across as good people, helpful and professional."

"The facility was clean, comfortable and relaxing. The area was quiet but a little remote. We had to travel a few miles into Michigan to find places to eat. Breakfast quality and quantity was good. We especially appreciate real brewed coffee, unlike the coffee sludge machines to which many other hotel chains have switched."

"The house was so cute and the perfect size for us. We enjoyed watching the Amish with their buggy from the front porch. We went to the flea market and only covered about 1/3 of it. We will need to make another trip later this summer to cover the rest. Weather was perfect."

"We enjoyed our stay in the Cozy Amish Cabin. The cabin was very clean and the owners were easy to contact and great to deal with. The weather was unseasonably warm and we enjoyed several hours on the deck, taking in the view and the sunshine. Distance to Shipshewana and local businesses is only a few miles, easy to get to shop/eat and at the same time relax in the quiet of the lake cabin! We have stayed at several VRBO’s and this was the first one where after our stay the owner sent a message thanking us for our stay and asking if there was any way they could improve the cabin. We had two minor suggestions that only if you stayed there you would notice. I am confident that the minor repair and additional glassware will be attended to before the next guest arrives. When we travel back to Shipshewana, this cabin will be the first home we check for availability. Check it out - you will be glad you did."
