A calm waterfront with a pier extending into the water, a row of lamp posts, and a building with a dome and tower.

Park Plaza Cardiff

Park Plaza Cardiff

8/10 Good
"Good central location. Parking across the road in NCP was at a reduced rate if you book in advance. Plenty of spaces. Check in was easy. Overall clean and tidy hotel although it feels a bit old fashioned. Swimming pool was big (15m) and located on the sub ground floor. A bit of an odd layout means you go to the 1st floor reception and then down a narrow staircase into the pool area. Felt dark and odd with a few loungers, hot tub and steam room. Changing area was tired and in need to a revamp. Breakfast was limited and expensive. We popped to Costa around the corner where we had a much more fulfilling breakfast at a much reduced cost. The bedroom was spacious. Layout felt odd and unlike lots of other hotel room we have stayed at. Someone else left a review about the position of the TV and we agree. It felt like the most strangest place to locate it in the room. Bed was comfy and the room was peaceful. No traffic noise. Overall a decent hotel. I’d say a dated 4 star. I doubt I’d return."

"Lovely hotel...excellent location for Utilita arena. Reception staff very helpful. Staff at breakfast were great, came to check that everything was ok. Great breakfast selection. Room and all areas of hotel were clean. Great night sleep despite being near a busy road...couldn't hear the traffic from the room. Would definitely recommend 😊"
