"The staff were above and beyond helpful with meals, dry cleaning, and recommendations. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious each day. The room was large, modern, clean, and facing away from the noise of the streets. The view was lovely and private. I think we had a much better stay than our travel companions who stayed at another hotel 4 minutes away. I would recommend Hotel Amigo to anyone travelling to Mumbai. "I would recommend for couples or solo travel. Yes the room is a bit basic but for central Mumbai you could not get cleaner, quieter or safer. Short walk to Mumbai central train station and taxis always outside at any time, literally. Staff were outstanding - always available and more than happy to help. Really friendly people. There is a seating area out the front which is great to get out of the room for a while - completely safe and nobody approaches you from the street. If you want luxury...

"The property itself was stunning but I had a number of issues that were not remediated satisfactorily. I booked a suite with a bath and on my first night I was given the wrong room being the smallest and most basic on offer. I was assured by 11am the next morning I would be given the correct room. The main problem for us was with the frontdesk staff blasting music over their phone speaker until 3:30 AM, we had to politely ask them if they could use their earphones at least 6 times but they did not seem to see the problem....anyhow if you are looking for a hotel to stay in this area the comfort inn is slightly more expensive...
