Outstanding service, perfect place to rest...

We had a wonderful time and aside from the haute-cuisine quality, Nora and Jorn's warmth make you ponder when the next visit will be. Our door knob broke just before we arrived, but as our visit took place on a holiday, we're sure that that minor issue has been taken care of. We'll go back to El Lugar Nórdico. We loved the place, its cleanliness and how we were able to rest and forget about city noises, work, or even television (we didn't bother).

Nice Hotel Comforts of Home While On Travel

We enjoyed our stay at El Lugar. The owners Jorn & Nohra made the stay absolutely wonderful. They accommodated our requests and made us feel at home. To have an in-house chef added to our stay. The meals were exciting and pleasing to taste. Desserts were included. The rooms were clean with a cleaning staff that did a wonderful job maintaining the rooms. El Lugar also provides individual tours in the coffee area so no need to worry about booking tours in advance. We also got additional tours of Pereira. I would definitely recommend El Lugar. Looking forward to my next stay there when returning to Colombia!

El mejor lugar para hospedarse en Pereira. Super tranquilo. Me sentí en casa por la maravillosa atención de sus dueños. La comida estuvo deliciosa a cargo del Chef John y sus practicantes suizos. La cama muy cómoda, todo muy limpio. Se descansa muy bien pues no hay ruidos de la ciudad.

Absolutely spectacular.

Everything here was rather spectacular, from the tranquility and peace surrounding the hotel, the common areas to rest, read or watch some TV, to the great service given personally by Norah and Jorn (the owners) alongside the rest of the staff, even the friendly dogs Bella and Odin make up for a marvelous experience if you're looking for peace and quiet and restful nights. Birds in the morning, great sights during a 'buffet-to-the-table' breakfast, authentic coffee tour to a finca just outside town, great locally-made rum for mid afternoon drink along danish-style chicharrón, amazing restaurant service, crickets in the evening. Worth coming back to Pereira if only for the little quaint hotel with amazing service, the coffee axis theme vacation would be a welcome add-on, not necessarily required.
