The setting is magical and the food is delicious. Makes for a great hike from Varenna for lunch, then continue up the hill to Castello DI Vezio for unbeatable views of the lake.

"This is a great hotel just about 15 minutes away from the shore & centre. Our room was clean and spacious. Breakfast was very good. Reception and breakfast staff were very nice and friendly. But our favourite was the rooftop bar and pool with the excellent service from Gaetano! He is a very attentive gentleman who made us very welcome and guessed our needs we didn’t know we had. "
