"The Dover is a traditional style small hotel that is located a short walk from Victoria Station. Like many such places in this area, the hotels are 'townhouse' style, narrow historic buildings with many floors and, being narrow architecture, only a handful of tiny rooms on each floor. Some of these places do not have elevators, and the Dover is one of these, so if you have difficulty climbing stairs and/or lots of luggage, you might want to take this into account when choosing one of these hotels. We have stayed at these places before, so we knew what to expect. And we were very pleased with our stay at the Dover. At the Dover, the rooms are tiny, bathrooms tiny also, but shower was excellent, beds comfy, wifi, and despite the compactness of the room, there was a hot water pot, instant coffee and tea, and plenty of lighting and electrical outlets. No elevator, but the friendly and helpful front desk clerk carried my bags upstairs when we checked in❤️. A basic continental breakfast is served, just barista coffee machine, good quality teabags, orange juice, cold cereals , hot toast/jams, and flavored yogurt, but it's all you need, really. And with prices for hotels in London so high, this place is a reasonable alternative, considering the convenience to Victoria Rail&Bus stations, restaurants and a conenient Tesco grocery 1/2 Block away. I highly recommend this place and we will be back...."
