There was food on the floor behind a trash can, the carpet felt like it had never been cleaned, the bathroom floor looked dirty with hair from upper and lower parts of the body. The shower floor was so dirty that we didn't even take a shower! This was one of the worst rooms we have ever stayed in! "

"My stay at La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Secaucus Meadowlands was overall just okay. The hotel is older and definitely in need of updates. The rugs felt old and musty, and the room cleanliness could be improved—there were crumbs under the comforter everywhere, but the towels were clean thank goodness. The toilet flushed well, but the water pressure in the shower was low. The key cards also didn’t work several times, which was frustrating. I also didn’t feel completely safe with the door lock, which is something the hotel should really address. Amenities were limited—there was no pool or gym available, possibly due to repairs. Breakfast was very basic (bagged, similar to a school-style meal), though the coffee was good—which mattered for my mornings. That said, the staff really stood out. They were extremely friendly, helpful, and did their best to accommodate guests, which I appreciated. The location is also convenient, especially with the drop-off and pick-up for Port Authority right at the hotel—that was a big plus and close to the movies, other stores, Olive Garden and the American Dream Mall. For the price and for a short stay, it was manageable, but I wouldn’t stay more than a couple of nights. It’s not quite what I would expect in 2026, but it works if you just need a quick place to sleep."

"Recently stayed for a quick overnight. Staff was friendly and accommodating. The room was a bit more used than expected (wear and tear on the furniture and decor). The room was fine for an overnight but looked across into the indoor pool area, so blinds needed to be closed. The larger advertised restaurant has closed so the cafe is the remaining amenity and the kitchen closes at 9pm for dinner, which we just missed after we arrived. Overall, given other choices in area, I might have picked another option."
