"Great staff-clean-wonderful accomidations!"

"Staff was great, rooms a bit old and run down but clean. The thermostat was stuck on cold. Had water leaking into my bathroom from light fixture above. Lady at front desk gave me points for the inconvenience. Love the cookies they give you and restaurant inside. "

"Nicer hotel in this area for close to the same price as the rest, but off the beaten path. I appreciated that this hotel wasn't right off the highway. The rooms and amenities were clean and accessible. My only qualm was with no one being at the front desk the few times I had a question or request over the duration of my stay. Staff hung out in that back room -- if this is typical for this hotel, I don't really care but day, night, afternoon, and evening I had to shout a "hello?" from the front...

"The Shorthills is very convenient, the facilities are good and the food is excellent. However, I changed my plans and only stayed 4 nights and not 5 and they refused to refund me, as I was an expedia customer. Also, since I last stayed there they have stopped doing a continental buffet breakfast and its order only, which is not great in the morning when you are in a rush. "

"Very comfortable bed, nice linens, clean room. I slept well. Maybe could use a refurb soon--not that it was in poor condition, but the carpet was showing some signs of age and the window shades didn't work very well and are starting to wear out on the sides. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay and would return."

"If retro chic had a name, it would be The George. With design elements from Restoration Hardware to a kitschy cool snap of Nancy Sinatra adorns the space above the bed and other famous Nancys to the left of the bed. The name of my groovy digs? The Nancy room of course. I love this place and will definitely stay there again."
