"Overall, a beautiful villa, but unfortunately the furnishings were rather sparse and the cleanliness was poor. The villa is located on a very busy road, so it is quite noisy. Its location behind a slope means that there is not much sunshine (only in the morning) on the terrace and in the garden. Unfortunately, the check-in coordination was not very good, and later requests were not responded to."

Wer sich selbst bekochen will, muss allerdings alles, auch Salz und Pfeffer, vor Ort besorgen. Von allen Zimmern, Küche und Wohnbereich ein toller Blick auf das Meer. Die Autobahn ist zwar in Sichtweite, stört aber nicht wirklich. Die Lage ist zentral, 10 min bis zum Supermarkt und 20 min. bis in die Innenstadt von Funchal. Das Haus hat eine große Garage mit direktem Zugang...

"We enjoyed our stay at Tropical Villa. The villa is located uphill in a quiet neighbourhood and it was lovely to sit outside on an evening looking out to sea and watching the stars come out. We particularly appreciated the pool and the parasols (three) in the pool area. The villa was very well stocked and comfortable."

"We were pleased to have our room available for early check in (1 pm) as it was a rainy day. Check-in was fast, friendly and efficient. Breakfast choices were excellent although the buffet room often became crowded. Breakfast staff were efficient in removing plates, cleaning tables. We had appetizers and wine at the Noz Restaurant and the hummus and olive tapenade was excellent. Check-out early in the morning (4:30 am) was efficient and helpful. Amenities over New Years were excellent. The location is Old Town Funchal is near to many activities and sights."
