"This place is in massive need of an update. The carpet in the main hallways is torn and rippled so poorly I could barely run my suitcase on it. The walls are pretty dirty. The bathroom is absolutely atrocious and needs to be simply gutted and redone."

To be fair, we were meant to be in an upstairs room,but between the fact that we are in our 70's, and we had two biggish suitcases, and the stairs were quite steep, we were offered our room as an alternative. Hillview House is an easy walk into the CBD - there are plenty of places to get dinner, but it's uphill all the way back."

"The hotel is very dated. The room I stayed in has 70s furniture and the ugliest headboard I’ve ever seen. The blanket had a musty smell to it. There are no elevators so if you’re on 2nd or 3rd floor you have to carry your heavy luggage up. Not very handicap friendly. The breakfast is overpriced. "
