"View was nice. Hard to appreciate when its rainy but that’s not the hotels fault. The staff was disorganized. Check in was confusing. The person at the desk was obviously new but management just left her on her own, fully out of her depth. I felt sorry for her but it still caused friction. They kept out luggage and when i got my carry on, it was damaged. Understand i pack and inspect it multiple times a day. I would not return and would recommend another hotel "

"Excellent location relative to bus service to Machu Picchu. They have a bus stop within about 30 feet of the hotel. The rooms overlook the river. Our 4th floor room had a balcony (shared with adjacent room). The river is LOUD! There’s no AC or fan, but temp was ok for us in March. No elevator, so be prepared to climb. Bed was comfy and the property appears to have been renovated relatively recently. Good breakfast. Very friendly staff. "

"Pros: Dirt cheap approx $50 usd per day. Location 2 minute walk from the train. Cons: Advertised free breakfast however it was non existent today. 1 towel per person per day! We were told if you book a two bed room you can only use 1 bed? The view was a shanty. Camilla was nice. "
