"Hotel was modern. Staff at check in was polite. Paid for car parking,. The room was a good size with two double beds. Large bathroom and toiletries provided. Only issue was with the EV car parking had to try the charger several time and unfortunately it did not work. I appreciate that this is beyond the hotels control. "

"We checked that we could get an accessible room before making the booking. We also stated our requirements on the booking form. The request was on the system but unfortunately not fulfilled. We were told if we didn’t accept the room, we would not be refunded (even though the hotel had admitted fault). We were then taken outside (in the rain), to go through the bar, restaurant and many doors before reaching our room. The rooms are extremely outdated, with no air conditioning and the radiator being on, with no means to turn it off. The tiny gap in the open window did nothing to help the situation. Accessibility for wheelchair users is ridiculous. I can honestly say it is one of the worst, disorganised places we have ever had the misfortune to stay at "

"It was an okay hotel. We paid for continental breakfast and there was barely any food left and the station was messy. Ended up ordering dishes at an extra charge. Not sure it was worth a £300 stay. "

"While the room was large and bedding was good, the room was too warm. The heat is centrally controlled. The air conditioner could not adequately compensate. The place is old and as such floors slant and can be disorienting. Dinner menu was acceptable but not spectacular for the ambiance of the hotel. "
