Hotel rooms and grounds are well laid out. Even when raining all day, it is nice to walk along the grounds, in covered corridors, with umbrellas. Staff is very helpful and entire experience from check in to checkout was wonderful. Dining room staff at both restaurants is very attentive. Pool is great, rooms are very clean, spa is good, Friday disco was fun, most evenings there is live piano player and singer who is very entertaining.

I found this property through the internet and it lived up to the good reviews. I arrived mid-week and the place was almost empty. I understand that during the high season it is completely full. One cannot find a similar quality accomodation in the area for a reasonable price though the rooms are quite small and compact. Come frequently for follow ups at nearby ACTREC and is convenient. Only downside is the number of industrial structures and companies surrounding it and the distance from Mumbai airport. Opening of the navi mumbai airport shortly will be a plus point.

I have not been to many properties in Matheran, but I would say this is an ideal property for a fun vacation it is located over from the hustle and bustle of the city and you feel like you’re in the quiet hills cottage.
The property is old, but very well preserved and staff is very courteous and very helpful. It is just an amazing fun to sit in the morning or in the evening at the swing and listen to the birds chirping.
Even if you don’t stay here, you should come here to eat the lunch or...
