"10/10 You will have a FAB STAY HERE if you decide to choose this place! It is super modern and great location ! Rooms are very crisp & clean ! Lovely space in the lobby with great vibes. Can sit down there & have a drink with a friend or solo, or do some work on your laptop, having such friendly staff there also helps ! They really are so kind and approachable, always happy to help ! You really can’t go wrong, the only thing I’d say to be aware of is if you need housekeeping to do towels/bins , all good but they can miss your room, so just give reception a call by 16;00 if they haven’t done it, they missed mine 2 of the days even though I had the correct sign on the door. The one time I got lucky calling reception and they came to finish it, but the other day they’d already gone home. But everything there in general is just amazing, its exactly like the pictures. A great mix of every age group, solo & group travellers. You can walk everywhere if you need to but there is public transport close by if you prefer ! Can’t recommend this place enough. Will definitely stay here again ! :)"

"Nice, super quiet room facing river was beautiful. Facilities and location is great, staff very helpful and a nice buffet breakfast. The only let down was the terrible rain shower head that had no water pressure "

"Although a beautiful and historic building, my partner and I unfortunately had issues with the services provided which definitely did not meet the reputation I thought this hotel had. I did however rate this more than 2 stars due to management taking any feedback on board which made me feel heard which I appreciate. I am hoping the services and communication from staff improve for those staying in the future."

"Had such a fantastic solo staycation at Hyde Melbourne. From the moment I checked in, the service felt genuinely warm and thoughtful. The staff asked great questions about my stay and offered tailored recommendations that made the experience feel personal from the start. The room itself was beautiful, with incredible city views and a rich, calming design aesthetic that instantly helped me relax. Every detail felt considered, from the furniture and artwork to the little touches in the room on arrival. The bed was extremely comfortable, and I loved how dark and quiet the room stayed overnight. As a mum in my 40s, uninterrupted sleep felt like a true luxury. The rooftop bar was also a highlight. Great cocktails, cozy heat lamps and stunning sunset views over Melbourne. Returning later that night after dinner and music, the hotel still felt safe, welcoming and easy to navigate, which I really appreciated as a solo female guest. The rainforest shower and bathroom products were excellent, and I left feeling genuinely rested and refreshed. Hyde feels like a stylish escape right in the middle of the city. Cannot wait to return."
