We were looking for a small non-resort hotel on the beach where we could relax peacefully, and Petit Lafitte is exactly that. As soon as we arrived at Lafitte we were welcomed home by the desk staff and concierge. Everyone at the hotel was friendly and made us feel comfortable, and were more than willing to help make our stay a very pleasant one. This property is fantastic if your desire is to go to a laid back property and have a relaxing but fun time. It is not packed with party hungry 18 year olds. We noticed the guests were mostly couples and friend trips made up of ladies or couples. While they say tips are not expected, they really are. Spent a couple of nights at this hotel. It was very nice, super clean and new, great amenities, loved the decor, had a nice ocean view on the fifth floor. Location was great, walking distance to fifth avenue and restaurants and shops. Ate breakfast at the hotel, their chilaquiles were excellent! I would not hesitate to stay here again for a convenient short stay and would definitely recommend to others. The front desk staff and restaurant staff were all great!

Unassuming from the outside, what awaits inside is more of the same, but with a minimal, spa-like feel. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the rooms and common areas are clean and inviting. The location can feel a bit suspect at night , though not threatening, but this gives way to a pleasant and almost park-esque mood during the day. A great value I doubt can be beat in PDC.

This place was amazing. A little paradise in the middle of the jungle. Rooms are very big and comfortable. There 2 pools and lots of things to do. Including temezcal, sound healing, yoga etc. Staff is super friendly and always willing to help. There is laundry service available and they will always be happy to call you a cab. This is by far the best resort in Riviera Maya! This was our second time there and we will be back. The property is stunning. Natural mangroves run all throughout. We loved this hotel, we stayed 9 nights and everything was clean and organized in the room. The house keeping lady/guy did an excellent job. Don’t forget to leave a daily tip to her/him. The workers at kan tulum are always alert to have everything clean, safe,funtionally and well maintained atmosphere. This place is Heaven on Earth! Our original trip was supposed to be for 5 days and we had to extend 4 more day (awww poor us LOL) due to bad weather at DFW (worst ice/snow storm to hit DFW in 72 years). We had room 818 beautiful!
