"The property was not the standard I expect of Expedia. The heating was on a schedule such that at night the temperature in the house was around 6 degrees giving me a backache until I asked the owner to keep the temperature at a constant 23 degrees. "Some of the basics were not provided on our stay so really wasn't worth the money. Communication - didn't receive the check-in details by email as instructions said. The day before the stay I tried to contact the host multiple ways, including Hotels.com support x 2, with no luck. Eventually on the day of the stay I was told I would get the information at 12pm. At around 1pm I had not received the information so chased again. Was finally given the information at 2pm but was rudely told that...

"I visit many hotels and there are too many major hotel chains that do not maintain high levels of service. This hotel was a welcome change as the standards throughout were very high. A special mention for the staff who were so helpful, and to the very high standards of the outside areas. So pleasing to see no litter but properly maintained gardens and walkways. Well done. "
