The staff were very willing to please and a small issue we had with our bathroom lock was fixed within 30 minutes of check in. "Staff were helpful as at first we were given a room with just a shower, we asked for a room with a bath and were given one. However the water was lukewarm and even after running it for 10 minutes it never got any warmer so there was no point having a bath. Also no heating in the room apart from a small portable heater that had been put in obviously to replace the central heating. Not ideal. Breakfast was average, sausage and bacon was overcooked and hash browns on the hotplates were nearly cold."

"Second stay, just as enjoyable as the first. Staff are friendly, rooms are a good size though it can be a bit of a walk from reception and a little maze like. Nice location although the building itself is showing signs of its age. Spa downstairs is well equipped and there are lots of peacocks wandering around the grounds. Area is very nice, close to Snowdon, not too far from Chester or the coast. "
