"We stayed the Alienor gite, just outside the lovely village of Lanquais near the Dordogne river. Our host Ann is really excellent host. The house is excellent - all the comforts of home, plenty of space, great welcome supplies, spotlessly cleane, nice and cool in the really hot recent weather and excellent value for money. "Nous avions choisi cette location principalement pour sa piscine, afin d’en profiter en famille avec notre fille de 5 ans. À notre arrivée : eau verte, algues, punaises d’eau. Impossible de s’y baigner.Il a fallu 2 jours pour que l’eau soit plus « claire » et nous avons passé un après midi à nettoyer les parois de la piscine pour enlever les algues afin d’essayer de sauver nos vacances. "Un hôte accueillant , sympathique mais qui semble un peu dépassé par l'exigence d'une location. Belle vue depuis la terrasse où nous avons bien profité du barbecue !Une déconvenue dès le premier soir .Le compteur électrique , mal reconditionné , nous a contraints à ne faire fonctionner qu'un seul appareil électrique à la fois !Le barbecue nous a sauvés !Deuxième déception , la propreté : un ménage qui laisse grandement à désirer ...de la poussière ancienne un peu partout , des toiles...

"Fantastic 2 weeks in a lovely house, glorious outside area including super-pool. Great location for lots of trips out with the kids, including canoeing, aquapark, pedalo, zoo, caves, tree climbing and of course the local château’s. "
