NEVER FORGET, semi-ocean front, is one of Salvo's best secrets and, with all the amazing renovations completed, it will not remain a secret for long! Located just one lot from the beach, on a private cul-de-sac with unobstructed ocean views you are steps away from sand, sun, and lots of fun. NEVER FORGET’S large pool, hot tub, Tiki bar, outdoor shower and charcoal grill are perfect for relaxing and entertaining adding to your dream vacation. Or, using the robust internet speed/wifi, make it a working vacation!

A few steps up from the convenient under house entry and furnished gathering retreat is the game room for kids of all ages with a full-size refrigerator, day bed with trundle and 55-inch TV.

The updated bedrooms on the 2nd floor includes an ocean-facing king Master bedroom with a 50-inch TV, full bath and a private deck that overlooks the pool; the perfect place for your morning coffee, Keurig & microwave in room too, while enjoying the cool breeze and harmony of the surf. Bedroom 2, the Bunk bedroom, has two pyramid bunkbeds with a 44-inch TV. The Shell bedroom has a queen bed, a 40-inch TV and semi-private access to a full bath.

The top floor’s ocean side deck and screened-in porch has wide expansive ocean views you will NEVER FORGET; it is the perfect place to relax and watch the waves, relish the sunrise/set and gaze at the stars. The views continue in the open concept living area with vaulted ceilings, half bath, 65-inch TV, dining for eight and fully stocked kitchen with new appliances, Keurig and a breakfast island that seats six. The Mermaid bedroom on this level has a completely remodeled private 3/4 bath and 32-inch TV.

Great location

Our family of 7 enjoyed our stay at Never Forget. Pros: Location was great with a very nice beach within easy walking distance. The pool was really nice. The deck and balcony were great with nice furniture. The kitchen was overall well stocked. Communication with the owner was prompt and helpful. They let us check in early. Cons: Main areas were pretty clean but house could use a deep clean of things like blinds, light fixtures, shelves, under beds, etc. Also, some of the pool furniture and downstairs outdoor furniture is in disrepair. Overall, Iwould stay here again because of all the positives.

The kitchen was above average for OBX beach houses -- it was great having lots of bathrooms -- the pool was large, private and secure (perfect when you have little ones) and the hot tub was excellent (room for four if you are friendly). Owners helpful and easy to deal with. Easy convenient walk to the beach on a wooden walkway. Would def come again.

Never Forget

The time we spent at Never Forget (2 months) was very relaxing. The location is great, not noisy, and near to many fun things to do, plus the ocean. The owners were very responsive to our needs, and answered any questions we had. Wonderful vacation cottage!

Perfect in every way!

This is probably one of the best OBX houses we have ever rented, and we have rented a lot over the past 20 years. Easy walking distance to the beach, large pool, comfortable beds, and overall everything was very accommodating. Homeowners are responsive to any questions. Highly recommend “Never Forget”… I know we won’t.

Family vaca

We had such a positive experience with Brooke and the house was amazing! It felt so cozy and it was like we were at home. It had all the amenities aside from bedding but we like to bring our own bedding anyway. Brooke was very attentive, responsive, and kind throughout the whole process. The walk to the beach was so easy and convenient with the boardwalk. I would definitely recommend booking with never forget for a wonderful family trip!

Great stay!

We had a great week at Never Forget. The space worked well for our group of 10. We enjoyed the decks and pool area, making a lot of fun and relaxing memories. Kitchen area was well stocked and had everything we needed. We loved the location away from the hustle and bustle but also close to stores and restaurants. The owners were responsive, welcoming and helpful. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay at this property again if we are back in the Outer Banks.

Great Location!

First time to the area and it was great! There were seven of us and our dogs. Plenty of room to spread out and cook when we wanted. The pool and hot tub was perfect even during the first week of October. The short walk to the beach allowed us the flexibility to take the dogs in the morning and evenings for walks and not have to load up in a car. We explored the area and even took a day trip to Ocracoke. Our host was super responsive with some questions we had and the house was very clean. Definitely will bring the family again!

A Great Place to Relax

We loved our stay at Never Forget! The house had almost everything we wanted, including a huge pool, nice hot tub, and direct access to the beach. The owners were awesome and extremely responsive during our stay. The only non-trivial issue was really due to our own ignorance about Salvo; the Dollar General is very convenient (a 2-minute drive), but the closest large stores are 30 minutes away. We did stop for groceries on our way to the house (we ordered online from Food Lion) but incidental needs popped up while we were there, and we had to make a couple store runs. Overall, we were very happy with our stay!

Summer 2024

This property was exactly as advertised. It was perfect for our family of 6. The owners were fantastic to work with. Extremely responsive and informative. I had a lot of questions as we never stayed in that area. They were happy to answer them all and they also provide a guide that helped a ton. Some reviews mentioned a long walk to the beach. It isn't short but that really is just because of the dunes. We didn't have any issues with it. We stayed at a lot of places and this is among the best. Thanks for sharing your property.

Home away from home!

This was hands down the most enjoyable VRBO I have ever stayed in. The kitchen is stocked to the gills which was great for the family as we ate in most nights. They had pool and beach toys and chairs so we didn’t have to pack that up and a great beach wagon. It’s like having all the perks of being at your own home. The owners are incredibly kind and thoughtful (I mentioned we were doing waffle night and she delivered a waffle maker!). So quick to respond to any and everything. You also get an awesome guide of the island with house and area info that is so helpful. Also the location is great for doing all the nearby things like Hatteras and Bodie lighthouse, Wright brothers museum. 100% recommend this place and we will definitely be back!

Beautiful House

Nice house, easy check in. PLEASE REMEMBER TO BRING YOUR OWN TP!! Grocery store is not a far distance and 24 hr. Previous renters did not get trash out in time for pick up, but there was still plenty of cans available for our short stay. Check out time was a little early for us, but we made it in time with a little hustle. Not handicap friendly (living quarters are on second and third floors) but EXCELLENT accommodations for our four leg family members.

False Advertisement

I was expecting the pool and pool area to look as the listing on the vrbo website, As I was looking forward to using the pool jacuzzi and tikki area. Pool was green with trash, chair and a crab in it. It was highly disgusting unsanitary amd hazardous. Tiki area unkept not clean not presentable. As if the whole area has been neglected for sometime. I did not tell the owner when I arrived because I wanted to enjoy my stay and holiday without any drama. The inside of the house very nice i just focused on that. There was no way the pool can be fixed during my stay would need to be drained and sanitized. My first and last time using Vrbo. Owner blocked me and would not issue even a partial refund.

Must stay rental!

We stayed at this property in the last week of July 2023, with 6 adults, 4 kids (17/15/12/5), and two Great Danes! We loved the house and had plenty of room for activities! We were able to check in earlier than expected. The owners where excellent with communication. They provided a document with anything and everything you may want to know about the property and surrounding areas. The owners were very prompt with answering questions and texts, both before and while on our trip. The property was decorated so nicely and well kept! The kitchen was completely stocked with every kitchen tool you may need. There was a large fenced in area under and beside the property that was PERFECT for our dogs. We were able to let them run around inside the fence and explore without being on a leash. We spent every day at the pool and tiki bar, which was the central hangout spot. The owners proved a beach wheel barrel to use at the beach which was super convenient. This is a must stay house! We would recommend this house to anyone! We would definitely stay at “Never Forget” again! Loved it!!!!

An Amazing Place

We stayed the week of May 15th. The area surrounding NEVER FORGET was pleasant. At this time of year, traffic on the island was minimal. This made touring the area more pleasant. We sampled many local restaurants (as meticulously outlined in the provided pamphlet) and spent a lot of time in the local shops. NEVER FORGET is a great place to take the family for vacation. It has all the amenities needs for you to enjoy your stay. One interesting (and very important feature) we enjoyed was the ability to close off the top floor stairs so that you could contain a small child or animal. It’s the minor details that impressed both of us. Now more on to the house. It’s HUGE! Plenty of space for more than one family or extended family to stay. The house is equipped with dual cooling zones which added a nice touch since one of us likes it cooler than the other. The home is decorated in a way that makes you feel right at home (bonus love for the German Shepherd photos! ❤️) The weather was in the low to mid 70s during our weeklong stay. However, that did not deter one of us to jump in the pool (brrr). The hot tub was an added bonus and made relaxing in the evening more enjoyable. The house itself sits behind the sand dunes and is about a 5 minute walk to the beach. We had the whole beach to ourselves since it was prior to the season. The sand was clean and the views were amazing. Our host, Brooke Rudis, was very pleasant to deal with. Overall, we rate this 10/10!

Wonderful time here and great location. Steps from the beautiful beach. Pool was great for after the beach play for the kids, and lounging about in the late afternoon. The home was just right size for our family - and had all the amenities as described. The owners were extremely helpful and responsive to even the most minor request for info or "how to". Highly recommend this venue for a memorable vacation. Thank you!
