"The Cowboys Hideout is clean and well equipped. Communication with the owners was smooth and efficient. Entrance to Sequoia National Park is only a few miles away. It worked out great as a base camp for me and my son."

"This place is back in a quiet neighborhood off the main road. It is far enough away that you dont have lots of traffic, but you can sit out on the private deck area and hear the river. We loved the great kitchen for cooking. They didn’t skimp on the cheapest appliances like some places do. We loved our stay and would greatly recommend this place to anyone looking."

"We were there for 11 days in early May, the weather was about 10 degrees cooler than Fresno for our entire stay (about an hour away). It's close (1-2 hours if you take the north vs south route) to the Sequoia parks/forest, and there's a big cat sanctuary a few miles up the road. The house itself is pretty simple, but did have basic essentials (oil, condiments, several seasonings, popcorn, granola bars, coffee, tea)- enough to get you started on day 1. "We very much enjoyed our 2 night stay at Rose Retreat. The room was perfect! We slept well on the very comfortable bed and used the ceiling fan and/or AC as needed. The furniture was high quality as were the linens. The bath was decorated beautifully and the shower was perfect. Our hosts really cared about our comfort.
