"This well-built cottage, with high ceilings in the main room/bedroom, was a wonderful respite from the city for me. I had written in my comment to the owner that I was making a private retreat, which she honored completely. While her house shares the lot at close proximity, I never saw nor heard her. I felt completely supported in my need for solitude. The cottage is situated off the main road on the quiet South end, so I did hear, and see, occasional cars passing in the mornings I was there....

"We visited in the Dec. off-season and found a very comfortable, clean & airy cabin. The photos were accurate as well as the description. Great view of the Sound just 20' away. Made a good base for hikes on the island. Cabin rentals are a little pricey but the hot tub and proximity of a well-stocked resort store are 2 of the justifications."
