Hotel Villa Casanova was one of the highlights of our trip to Tuscany! Everything about this place was special. Just had 24 hours to spend in Lucca. It was a great stay, the staff was very helpful from the moment we arrived. Franco, who took us to our room doubles as the hotel bartender at night. We enjoyed his company while we had a pre and post dinner aperitif. The hotel was perfectly located, easy access off the A11, shopping starts as you make a right out of the front door. House has the feel of prior centuries, but is well maintained with modern conveniences. Two block from the old city on a quiet residential street. Three blocks away the other direction is a bakery and several restaurants. Supermarcato is within a reasonable walk

The best part of the hotel was the pool and landscape around the hotel. The food at the restaurant was ok. The only downside of our stay was the drunk British man who couldn't find his room and woke us up at 3 am by sticking his head through our bedroom window looking for his girlfriend.

The hotel is located very near the autostrade and outside the walled city. Access is easy and direct. Staff were multi lingual and friendly. English was not a problem. Parking is free. Amazing view of the plaza! Location is perfect. Valentina is super helpful and accommodating. She will answer any questions you have with enthusiasm and care. In summary, a great property with a great host! Would stay again.

The parking is good. The location of just outside the wall at Porta Elisa is convenient. The man at reception made our dinner reservation at Gigi and it was great.

This is not a picture-postcard villa with glorious views in the heart of town. It's a super-clean, well-managed, airy, Best Western with free parking, helpful staff, good restaurant, free internet, and fine breakfast, 10 minutes by car from Lucca and a good jumping-off base for driving to other sites in the area. Good value for the money.

Our room in the annex was very roomy and comfortable. Great bed, great view. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was amazing!
