Konstantina was the rudest most unprofessional host.Gave us a different home than we booked and lied
Our experience with this property was terrible. A few days after our reservation was submitted, we found out that this property was no longer listed through Vrbo. I asked her if our reservation was still valid. She finally responded stating that everything was ok with our reservation and we were good to go for our trip. Once we arrive in Santorini, I contacted her for directions to the property. She gave us wrong directions. We ended up walking around in the heat with our luggage on a cobblestone road going up hill. After calling her to let her know we were lost, she was very rude and unprofessional on the phone blaming us for the wrong directions and acting annoyed and bothered.
Once we arrived at our reservation, the home was a completely different place from what was originally booked. When I asked her about it she stated that the original booking had water problems, so she claimed to be giving us an “upgrade.” This property had only 1 bathroom, but our original reservation had 2 bathrooms. The furnishings were less nice, as well. Although the view was nice, it was not a 360 view like the one we booked. I looked on the website for this property “Santo Houses” which clearly states the rates for their properties. The property that she put us in was nearly half the price of our original reservation, but she refused to give us even a partial refund. After a couple hours into our stay we realised the property that we originally reserved was actually being occupied by other guests. She lied not only about the water problems, but also the “upgrade.” Once we brought this to her attention, she acted like it was no difference in homes and was extremely defensive. I have the text messages to prove this. She said she would ask the property management to see if there was anything she could do. I asked her if I could speak to them directly and she refused. There was no one in the office, but she agreed to meet us to discuss our concerns with this whole ordeal. We told her we were having dinner at a restaurant next door. She proceeds to interrupt our meal only to tell us that she will not do anything to accommodate us and that we are welcome to leave and find a new place. Offering no money back or resolution. She refusedto answer questions about the original booking and caused an embarrassing scene at the restaurant. We left the property the following day and paid for a whole new hotel. Precious time wasted dealing with this issue with no resolution.
