12. Paloma Villa in Flic-en-Flac - Luxury, Peace and Comfort for 1 to 8 people

Flic En Flac

"Our stay at this property was unfortunately very disappointing and did not meet expectations based on the listing. Firstly, cleanliness was a major concern. There were cockroaches in the house, and it did not appear to have been properly cleaned before our arrival. The pool was also dirty and not operational, which meant it could not be used at all. The listing itself contained misleading information. It is advertised as having four bathrooms, which is not accurate. Guests should not rely on...

"We stayed in the villa for 4 nights in August 2024. We had a self-check-in, as our host Francoise was abroad herself. However, Check-in was easy as described, WA-communication with Francoise as well, and there was a telephone contact to a neighbour in case of problems (wich we didn't need). The house is very nice, situated near the sea with sea-view from the upper story. The public beach is some hundred meters away but very nice, clean and quiet. The house is clean and equipped with everything...

"We had a wonderful stay, the villa was excellent and served as a great base to explore from. The beach was fabulous unspoilt and never anyone on it! We didn't want the resort style holiday we wanted to see the real country and got to see so much! The team led by Sapna looked after us so well and introduced us to lobster! Delicious and now annoyed I have never had it before! Thank you for a wonderful stay"

20. Nouvelle Villa 2023, 100 % Privative, 2 - 12 Personnes, Observation des Baleines

"Perfect stay for a large group! We had 3 families (total of 5 adults and 4 kids) and there was plenty of room for everyone! The home has lots of amazing window views of the sea. We were very pleased that even with such large windows the home is very quiet at night for sleeping. We were able to sit on the balconies and pool area and enjoy the view but not have to worry about waking up the kids because the windows are very soundproof. Nothing better than sitting on the deck and listening to...

Shanti Maurice Resort & Spa

8/10 Good

"We had the beach front room, amazing to wake up to that view. Only problem was the noises from the upstairs room and also next door, we could hear a lot. The amenities are great, total 5 star hotel like. Staff are absolutely amazing, starting with the executive chef and continuing to literally everyone else who works here. The beautiful smile and kindness of Tayo (concierge receiving you at the main entrance) are details that make the difference. Mauritians are lovely people. We had the bonus of “extend” our stay by staying in “the lounge”, this was instead of a late check in. This lounge was absolutely perfect. The only 2 downsides I have to mention: check-in process is too slow, I understand they try to give you an elevated experience, but when you have been traveling for long hours you just want to get into your room asap. The other thing is the dress code for the restaurants, I have never been to a hotel where there were rules regarding what to wear, specially when paying the price you pay to stay here - I truly missed that freedom and felt a bit uncomfortable to have to “pretend”. Other than that, the hotel is amazing, well maintained, nicely located and staff is great!"

Tamassa Bel Ombre

10/10 Excellent

"The property is very nice, beautiful pools, gardens and beach. Staff is very helpful, but often slow (e.g. we waited 45 min for our luggage). The rooms could really use an update and they should work more on the cleanliness in the rooms (hate seeing hair on the floor or bed). The kids club is amazing, as well as the game village in the garden, could be there for days. Breakfast is OK."

Preskil Island Resort

10/10 Excellent

"Preskil Island resort was such a gem for our honeymoon. Had everything we wanted. The beach is absolutely amazing. They had inclusive boating activities like canoeing, pedal boat etc which made it easier for us to enjoy the ocean without leaving the resort. Very close to the airport as well. We stayed there for the first half of our trip and returned for the last night just cause we absolutely loved the place. Highly recommend for anyone."

Holiday Inn Mauritius Mon Tresor by IHG

10/10 Excellent

"We had a really enjoyable stay at the hotel. The hotel was clean and comfortable, and the food was very good, with a good choice at breakfast. What really stood out was how friendly, welcoming and helpful all the staff were. Bella was especially lovely she was very friendly, kind and always went out of her way to help us. She regularly checked in to see how we were doing and whether there was anything she could do to make our stay more enjoyable. Divesh at the reception desk was always smiling, polite and helpful whenever we needed anything. Sudesh, the shuttle bus driver, was also very nice, friendly and helpful. Overall, the staff made us feel very welcome throughout our stay. Their kindness and excellent service really made a difference, and we would be happy to stay here again."

Heritage Le Telfair Golf & Wellness Resort

10/10 Excellent

"A spectacular resort with very friendly staff great facilities and great food only one small adverse experience at the grill where a staff member was a very terse other than that everything was perfection. The golf courses are unbelievably good as anything you'll find anywhere!Ginja Resurant was amazing!"

Astroea Beach Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"Whilst the hotel is in a beautiful local and excludes a calm, relaxed atmosphere, it is the extremely warm & welcoming team that leave an everlasting impression. After a long journey & a very hectic month in the run- up to this trip, the hotel & the team provided the perfect start to the opening of my next chapter in life. Highly recommended"
