My stay at Los Lagos could not have been anymore magical! The resort is beautiful, so many hidden places to explore. I saw so many birds, lizards, wild boars and other critters during my walks. Loved spending my mornings drinking coffee on my rooms balcony, hearing the jungle slowly wake up Every single person working at the hotel from the wait staff to housekeeping were nothing short of amazing and attentive. Depending on where your room is situated, may be a bit of a hike from the...

The Staff here are AMAZING! We stayed for only one night before returning to SJO airport. We needed assistance with transportation and the staff here bent over backwards to make calls and help us. This property is clean and has a nice breakfast. The ONLY negative I would give it - the noise. If you cannot sleep with earplugs, you may want to look elsewhere. Otherwise, you cannot go wrong booking La Fortuna Lodge.

Another great stay. Which there were a few more options for breakfast but overall great stay

This place is great There is nature all around. I very much enjoyed swinging in the hammock looking at nature. It is about a 30 minute walk to City center, but there are a few restaurants within 10 minutes. There is also a grocery store two minutes away There is an adventurous "river walk" on property that we enjoyed. The few cons were the breakfast wasn't the greatest for the price. Also the air conditioner weezed the last day... But we never notified them about it, so can't blame them for...

Very clean and quiet! So nice to have cleaners every day and breakfast every morning. We loved fabricio, give that man a raise!!!!

Friendly staff, great views very safe.

All the rooms in the property has amazing views of the Arenal Volcano.

The staff are friendly and helpful and speak English very well, which helps those without strong Spanish. The grounds are beautiful! The little hiking trail is fun and the multiple hot tubs with some privacy were a nice place to relax. They even serve food and drinks at the pool! The room was clean, beds were comfortable, excellent water pressure and hot water. We especially enjoyed the balcony with a view of the volcano and were impressed with all the food. They grow their own vegetables and...

Upon our arrival, we were immediately impressed by the property's beauty and felt right at home in our cabin. The cabin was remarkably spacious and immaculately clean, offering every amenity we needed. As a family-owned and operated complex, the property is expansive and boasts beautifully maintained lawns and a sunset lookout within walking distance. The property is a short drive from the town center. Roy communicated with us throughout our stay, providing helpful tips before and after our...

Outstanding place to stay! Beautiful grounds, great accommodations and excellent staff! We saw so many wonderful birds thanks to their feeding station. We did their night walk tour and it was fascinating! I’d highly recommend staying here. You won’t be disappointed if your looking for beautiful grounds, great service and bird watching.

The resort was not small by any means, but felt intimate. The staff made you feel special, they took the time to remember your preferences and your name. The resort is very well maintained. I would definitely stay here again

Excellent breakfast, stunning views, nice service. Loved this hotel and would recommend it to unplug (no TVs) and enjoy all the beauty Costa Rica has to offer!

Staff was super friendly. The rooms were very spacious and the beds were very comfortable. They came and cleaned our room daily and gave us fresh towels. The grounds were beautiful and there is even a mama sloth and her baby who frequent the trees on the property. My 2 kids enjoyed the pool. I really liked that the water was heated. The restaurant on site had a decent breakfast and their dinner was very good. We ate dinner there twice. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. About a 2...

Absolutely amazing stay here. The hotel staff was so accommodating and friendly and helped with excursions/transport. The food at hotel was AMAZING. Did not disappoint. 10/10 would stay again

The view from the hotel is incomparable! You can have a very nice breakfast (free) surronded by a breatiful garden while the volcano is right in front of you! There is also a rose garden in the backyard of the hotel. Although it's named as garden, it is really an epitome of larger rain forest! Very nice!!!!! A lot of humming birds! The room is very nice to stay as well! wonderful wonderful experience at decent price!!!!!!!!

Milena and her husband are truly wonderful people who shared their little gem with anyone who stays over and you just don’t want to leave. This place is truly special I strongly recommend. I have travel all over the world and this place had the best hospitality and food for a reasonable price. We extend our stayed and can’t wait to be back again :)

The grounds at the hotel are amazing. The tropical gardens that surround the guest rooms, paths, and pool make for a very relaxing stay. The rooms are spaced well apart and have a lot if privacy from the covered verandas. The views are incredible. The location is perfect for exploring and taking advantage of the many activities in the area.

Very convenient location near the center of town. Beautiful grounds and very friendly and helpful staff. Good value.

Room was nicely decorated. Staff was friendly. Nice view out back of room into the woods. We had a 7:00 am tour so we couldn’t utilize regular breakfast. They made us a sandwich, fruit, and juice which was appreciated, but if all that was done, they could have just as easily fed us normal breakfast a little early. Also, a little difficult to check out and still be able to access your car when you return. Overall, enjoyed it!
