"We were only in Monteverde for one night, and this was a great B&B! Spacious and comfortable. Jenny made and served us a fantastic breakfast to start our day, too! Will definitely consider staying there again if and when we visit in the future."

"My wife and I had an amazing time at Tabacón Thermal Resort & Spa during our stay from September 30th to October 2nd. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by how beautifully the resort blends into its lush natural surroundings. The thermal springs were absolutely stunning, crystal clear, surrounded by vibrant greenery, and perfectly maintained. Relaxing in the warm pools while listening to the sounds of nature was truly unforgettable.
The stepped waterfalls and tropical landscaping made it feel like a private paradise. Everything was so serene, and we loved exploring the different pools, each with its own temperature and atmosphere.
Our room was elegant, modern, and very comfortable. The wooden furnishings and nature-inspired decor created a warm, relaxing environment that fit perfectly with the resort’s natural beauty. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and we appreciated the attention to detail in both design and cleanliness.
The staff were friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Overall, our experience at Tabacón was beyond our expectations, a perfect blend of luxury, relaxation, and nature. We would absolutely recommend it to anyone visiting the Arenal area and hope to return again someday!"
"This place was an absolute gem just outside of La Fortuna. The grounds were bigger and more beautiful than we expected based on the photos. The staff were attentive and so lovely to chat with (thank you so much Jose and Fernanda for making our stay so special). The eight thermal pools were lovely for an afternoon dip, and we loved that we could sit at the swim up bar or be in the covered hot tub when the afternoon rains came. Our room was spacious and the wife loved the hammock and the jacuzzi. Thank you to the housekeeping staff for restocking our coffee, providing meringues, and making fun little towel animals each day. WiFi worked well, parking was easy, and we loved opening the screen door and listening to the rain each afternoon.
Our absolute favorite part of the resort was the sloths. We saw them twice near the front office and got lucky to catch one crossing the road just before we left which was such an amazing end to our trip! The only negative about this resort is the prices in the bar and restaurant. The dinner quality is okay, but we had much better quality dishes in town. Drinks are very spendy so we didn’t spend as much time at the resort or by the pool as we thought we would give how expensive they were. We really wanted to like La Saca, but having two meals there with very dry chicken, we were a little disappointed. However the staff at the restaurant were amazing!
We will absolutely return to the property on our next visit to La Fortuna!"
"WOW, where do I even begin? From the moment we arrived until the day we reluctantly checked out, this resort delivered absolute perfection. Without question, this was by far the best trip of our lives.
Service: The staff was incredible - warm, welcoming and genuinely caring. From the front desk to housekeeping to the restaurant team, everyone went above and beyond to make us feel valued and taken care of. It’s rare to see such attention to detail and passion for hospitality.
Room & Amenities: We were in awe with everything—spacious room, private plunge pool, view of volcano, outdoor shower, and even free laundry service.
Food & Dining: Every meal was impeccable. Fresh ingredients, world-class flavors and creative presentation. Our favorite restaurant was the Mediterranean. The best hummus and pita EVER!
Do not hesitate to book this resort! We are already looking to return in 2026. "
"Nosotros estuvimos fascinados y esperamos regresar con ansias a este maravilloso hotel . 100%recomendable . Todo estuvo perfecto y un excelente servicio "
