"This house was very nice and had everything we needed for our family of 10. It had a nice basement that was used for family fun. The upstairs living room was also big enough for a movie night for all of us. It was set up in a secluded section of woods, centrally located to several towns along the coast of Lake Superior. Our family was able to explore a lot of what the U.P. has to offer and still not be too far from the house. We did have a water issue after a big storm. Lisa was easy to connect with and had the issue resolved the next day. It did not dampen or trip at all. Overall, it was a very nice house in a convenient location. I would not hesitate to stay there again. "

"We loved the location of Susan’s cottage. She was so easy and nice to communicate with prior to arrival. We loved being able to walk to the small town one way, and down to the point the other way. The cottage was immaculate. Our favorite part was being able to walk out the back door and after about five minutes be at the beach of Lake Superior. A beautiful and wild lake. The beach was a perfect mix of sand and rocks. Great place to launch our kayak. We also loved being close to Pictured Rocks. I highly recommend going to Sable Falls and following the trail to the lake. The only thing to keep in mind is that the town has only the bare minimum of groceries. It was hard for us to find vegetables. The locals told us the nearest place for this was in Newberry or Manistique. Otherwise, we had everything we needed. The beds were comfortable, the kids loved the recliners, and the fire pit just behind the house was a perfect way to end our nights. Overall a great, comfortable house. "We loved our stay here at the AmericInn. We were rock hunting all day and were very tired at the end of the night. We were highly grateful that this property had laundry machines for use as well as a very nice, large pool. The breakfast buffet was also much more extensive than some of the other smaller properties, which we appreciated. "
