"it was a solo trip during a cold december but that made the town quiet and extra serene. not much people along the ikaho stone steps. also, i was alone in the onsen of the ryokan everytime i visited."

Nice onsen hotel just beside the Yubatake
"This was amazing onsen beside the Yubatake (which is right in front on the hotel) so you are in the middle of the town they have Yukata you can borrow and take wear to walk and take pictures outside too. Breakfast and dinner had a lot of options and was really good. Make sure to Book Hal-Board, it is worth it! They have onsen eggs for breakfast too! The only downside is that it is a bit old and the walls are thin so can be noisy when people talk on the hallway but Overall this was an amazing hotel and will come back again!"
