10 out of 10. Communication throughout our booking was exceptional. The cabin was immaculate and charming. It’s perfectly located for all our adventuring. We cant wait to return!!!
Welcoming. We were very close to all the activities we needed to get to and still had a peaceful place to unwind. Especially loved the fire pit and the ripening blackberries we found. I can imagine how perfect the property is for winter fun!
Great quiet location. Property was really clean and spacious. My son and I went snowmobiling for the weekend and we will definitely be back here. The property is really close to the trails and restaurants. The host Dennis was great and really helpful with information about the area and made the trip great!
The four of us thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We appreciated the personal touches such as snacks. The artwork was beautiful. The hosts were welcoming and quick to respond to any questions. We would love to return if we are in the area.
This property was perfect for what we needed. A home away from home, just off the beaten path. Quiet and peaceful. It was a great “home base” for our Pictures Rocks adventures. Thanks again!
Property was advertised and very clean and comfortable. Communication with host was very prompt and very willing to help with any part of the stay. Provided snacks and water to help make the stay more comfortable. Great experience, will stay again if coming back to the area!
Beautiful home inside and out!! Was the perfect location to stay and enjoy exploring pictured rocks! The hosts went above and beyond providing extras like snacks, waters, and firewood just to name a few. We loved how peaceful and cozy it was and enjoyed walking down to see the fish at the pond. The hosts are also very quick and easy to communicate with. Highly recommend this place and we hope to stay again next time we visit the area!
Great location. Loved the fire pit. Really appreciated all the extra amenities. The balcony was nice and gave us a sense of peace and tranquility when waking up in the morning. REALLY liked the provided fans! We loved the decor and overall space of the lodge. Will definitely be back!
Thank you, Dennis and Diane! The Island Pond Lodge was the perfect home away from home. Spacious, spotless, welcoming, well stocked, with close access to Munising, we looked forward to relaxing when returning from a long day of sightseeing. Our daughters loved the chance to fish, roast s'mores at the fire pit, and view the milky way from the front yard. The parents appreciated being able to put the kids to bed and still enjoy some visiting time!
We felt very welcome and comfortable in this cozy cabin in the woods. Made some fires in the fire pit, had s’mores, explored the woods, cooked in the kitchen, and used the laundry room. Lots of nice extras like snacks, water, paper products, toiletries, WiFi, tvs. Munising and surrounding National Lakeshore was just beautiful and we had many outdoor adventures. Highly recommend!
My wife and daughter stayed here for 3 days and loved the property. Hosts are extremely hospitable and even provided a frozen pizza for them upon arrival. Not all hosts are so thoughtful. Property was stocked with everything they needed for the stay. My wife has stayed at several properties and this one by far was one of the top ones she stayed at with respect to what the property provided, cleanliness, layout and everything working in the property. We will definitely look to book here again in the event we are in back in the area. Can't say enough how great this property is.
What a wonderful surprise when we arrived at Pond Island Lodge! The home is beautiful inside and out. We loved the special extras such as candy bars, chips, cookies, frozen pizzas, and water. Everything was supplied for us including laundry soap! The beds were very comfortable-great mattress. We would recommend and also hopefully will be back!
This house was very clean and easy to get to. Owner was very communicative and available if needed. Check in/Check out process was very easy and hassle free. Many items were there as a convenience for us to use. Hosts are very accommodating to their guests!! We will definitely be staying here again when we come up. Loved the solitude of the house and the openness. Fire pit at night was great, as well as sitting on the balcony to star gaze! Wonderful house!
Our stay at Pond Island Lodge was great. Close to all the surrounding communities, clean and everything you might need. We loved the snacks, water and pizza in the freezer upon arrival. No need to run to the store if arriving late. Finding the location was a little difficult in the day time so I would recommend arriving in daylight. It is tucked back off the road. We had a link for the address but cell service might be spotty. Have that handy incase. Overall it was delightful and we'd rent again. Thank you!
This house has a quiet location and was an oasis after a long day. It was house was spacious and clean. The owners were polite and responsive. We were welcomed with cold waters, frozen pizzas, and lots of snacks on the kitchen counter, which were a nice treat and very much appreciated. The owners seemed to go out of their way to make their guests feel welcomed. If you are looking for a quiet, rustic location, you wouldn’t be able to find a better spot than this. There was a fire pit available for use, although we didn’t use, it was a nice feature. Thanks for your hospitality!
