"Lovely small property with so much character, lovely staff and food. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The stairs are a little wonky, as others have noted, but if you don't mind a bit of a tilt, they are quite manageable!"

"Super clean historic house converted to a really nice, informal hotel. They offer breakfast and have a bar for drinks. Central location and friendly staff. Easy to get to restaurants, shops, pubs and public transport. Not sure about parking as we travelled by train. The property has no lift to the upper floors, but reception staff will help with luggage, and you can ring reception from the room. Robust WiFi signal, air con and windows that actually open. Tea and coffee making facilities in the room. Complimentary drink at the bar on the first evening. Cheers!"

"Staff were very friendly and welcoming and the family room was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast had a good selection of both hot and cold options and the food tasted great. 15 minute drive on quiet roads to Longleat which was main purpose of our weekend. "

"Great stay in a comfortable well equipped, top floor attic room. Wifi a bit hit and miss, but manager was very helpful and tried to reboot it. Should have asked if they had a couple of softer pillows. Complimentary biscuits, and water in room, nespresso coffee machine, smart tv and great refurbed bathroom with touchlit mirror, pleasant branded shampoo, conditioner and shower gel."

"Take a step back into a 13th century building turned into an hotel and revel in the fine furnishings and outstanding cuisine in the restaurant. Definitely a must do!"

"Great service, nice food and a clean room. What’s not to love. Went there for business but 100% would return for a weekend away. I was greeted by a bunny in the car park, watched doves from window and squirrels Entertained me Through the window while Eating breakfast. So peaceful "
