My wife and I had a very pleasant two-night stay at Hotel Tateyama. We stayed one night before our Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route trip and another night after returning, and both stays were excellent.
The hotel is very well maintained and offers a comfortable, relaxing atmosphere. One of the highlights was the large mosaic-tiled onsen spa. The design is beautiful and reminds me of an aquarium. It has two levels, and the layout is thoughtfully planned so that different sections are not directly...

This is a lovely new hotel, very helpful friendly staff and one of the very best Onsens weāve experienced in Japan (this is my third trip). Really fantastic- new, clean, three pools- outstanding. The hotel is 35 minutes S of Hakuba by car and an hour by shuttle bus, and the shuttle only runs to and from once per day so without a car you donāt have many options. Omachi, the nearest town is a fairly long walk. Recommend having a rental car if you stay here.

One of the best hotels Iāve ever stayed at. Room was excellent with an amazing Mountain View. Full amenities and top notch service. Staff goes above and beyond and are personable and friendly, even as English speaking tourists. The breakfast was delicious and a perfect mix of made to order hot dishes along with a large spread of buffet items.
The best hotel in Hakuba if you want a luxurious and relaxing experience.

Very friendly and helpful staff, better English than I expected. More or less traditional ryokan, with tatami floors. The room is spacious during the day when the futons are rolled up (the staff does that for you), and the futons are very comfortable to sleep on. Breakfast included in the price of the room was excellent. Dinner was extra, but not expensive--about $25 for a first-class, elegant Japanese dinner.

La Neige is a great hotel, the staff is perfect, I want to come back, the premises are beautiful, so elegant, and at a good price, thereās no onsen, but no problem, there are options a few minutes away, and the hotel have an excellent transportation service.
I definitely want to come back.

We loved our stay at the Hakuba Marriott! It had a great gym, the in room onsen was perfect after a day on the slopes and the staff were so friendly. It was walkable to the main drag and provides a shuttle to the ski resorts right out front. It was nice to come back and enjoy a drink at the bar after dinner. We cannot wait to stay here again!
