I recently stayed at the True Hotel in Orangeburg, South Carolina while in town for a funeral, and I cannot say enough good things about my experience. During such a difficult time, the staff made all the difference. The hotel was extremely clean, well-kept, and had such a warm atmosphere that truly reflected the genuine Southern hospitality of Orangeburg.
One staff member who stood out to me the most was Ms. Georgian. With a heavy heart, I came down for breakfast one morning, and she immediately made me feel like family. She went out of her way to comfort me and made sure I had everything I needed. That kind of kindness and care is something you can’t put a price on.
The front desk receptionists were also wonderful—very informative, helpful, and welcoming. And let me just say, the complimentary breakfast was the best I’ve ever had at any hotel—better than some breakfasts I’ve actually paid for elsewhere! Everything was fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care.
From start to finish, every staff member went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and never like we were in the way. Because of them, my stay felt less like a hotel visit and more like being among family. If I ever find myself back in Orangeburg, this will be the only hotel I stay at. Five stars all the way!"
