"We stayed here for one night prior to going on a cruise. Good location not far from the cruise terminal but in a quiet area with plenty of parking. Nice breakfast next morning. Only negatives are the early checkout time of 10am and the bar prices."

From the moment we arrived, the owners, Steve and Mubi, made us feel incredibly welcome they were so friendly and went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. There’s so much to do at the hotel, we were genuinely impressed. The free pool table was a great touch and added to the relaxed, fun vibe of the place. But the real highlight for us was the spa and hot tub totally worth the money and a perfect way to unwind in the evenings. We used the spa both nights and loved every minute of it. Ashbys is a gem in Portsmouth comfortable, entertaining, and run by two wonderful hosts. We’ll definitely be back!"
