DoubleTree by Hilton at the Entrance to Universal Orlando

10/10 Excellent

"We enjoyed this hotel. Very clean, very quiet. We were able to walk to City Walk/the parks very easily. Was also in walking distance to a Walgreens and an awesome coffee shop. It was also nice to be able to buy extra park passes right in the lobby. We would definitely stay again."

The Point Hotel & Suites Orlando

8/10 Good

"Check-in and check-out were both smooth and friendly. Cold moist towels and cold drinking water greeted our arrival. The double king-bed room was sufficiently spacious and clean. The room had comfortable mattresses, pillows of mediocre comfort, laminate flooring (we prefer carpet, but none of the rooms have carpet anymore, despite online photos to the contrary), a great view (!), and an AC that was both quiet and powerful. The small kitchenette had the very basics but no kitchen towel for drying (I guess you're meant to use the bath hand towels, but a dedicated kitchen towel or even paper towels would feel more appropriate). The bathroom left a bit more to be desired. It smelled of mildew, probably from the shower curtain. The shower head wasn't great. The shower gel attached to the wall didn't work, so we resorted to using the shampoo and the small bar soap, the latter of which smelled of nothing. The free self-parking was much appreciated! We were there for only 1 night, so we did not eat at this hotel, nor did we use any other amenity. All-in-all, a slightly above-average stay with room for improvement."

Grand Hotel Orlando at Universal Blvd - Shuttle to Theme Parks

8/10 Good

"The room has a lot of moisture in it, the rooms are outdated, our room had trash in it from the person stayed there before, but the staff is exceptional, Orlando at the breakfast was awesome and the young lady at the front desk, was the sweetest wish I remembered her name."
