"Whilst we only live 15 minutes away we have stayed here on several occasions as it is the perfect place for a night away. Everything makes you feel so relaxed and the team are very welcoming. "As you can see, not pleased with the Ashford in. Confusion on my booking I thought I was booking September 9, 2026 apparently not it defaulted to the day I was booking it May 9, 2026, and got billed for a night stay while I was still in California and was a no-show at Ashford in England.Politely contacted them told him I needed to change my date of arrival to the correct date and they said too bad so sad and we’re not forthcoming in trying to fix the mistake or work with me to let me book another night. Was looking forward to staying there, but now I will find a different place to stay if the management is such that they are not flexible caring or compassionate enough to deal with mistakes."

"Hotel was clean and in good condition. Rooms were good and bed sizes were good too - 2 singles were higher than expected. Toiletries were lovely. Would’ve liked to be able to order room service but it isn’t an option for dinner or breakfast. Basic breakfast included was ok. Overall, would stay again."

"We stayed at The Bull Pen for a second time, this time for a full week, and had a great time. The property is equipped with everything needed and looks even better than the photos. The location is idyllic with a lovely garden and beautiful farm setting - our children absolutely loved seeing all of the adorable lambs and so did we! Highly recommend and we intend to book again. Car essential."

"My partner and I had a 2 night break at The Granary this weekend gone. It was perfect, it has so much character and is really cosy. We also had such a warm welcome. We had everything we needed for our stay, the heating timings were perfect, never too hot or cold. It was really looked after and welll kept and very clean. We loved the underfloor heating too.We had no disturbances and was a lovely quiet area with a stunning nature reserve just down the road where you can have fantastic counrty walks.We will definitely be back to stay again and we are really looking forward to our next visit.Thank you again for a wonderful stay."
