"This was a very basic "hotel". The first room I was put in was pretty bad and looked as though it had not been decorated since the 1980's. There are not blackout curtains on any of the windows so be prepared to have the sun come blasting in at 6 AM. The beds feels like something you would have slept on in sleep away camp when you were a child. However good signage would help as we just come off a huge roundabout and there are so many structures blocking the view of the hotel from the road that one is not sure where to enter to reach the hotel. "We stayed 4 nights at the Hotel Isartor. The hotel is centrally located and easily walkable to transit (less than 5 minutes) and the Marienplatz (about 10 minutes). The staff were friendly and helpful. Our room had a great view of the river and consequently also received sun all day long so it was a bit warm, despite having a few windows.
