"Reception staff fantastic "

"We had a Family room as there were 4 of us. Room was perfect for what we needed. However, checking in was a struggle. Whoever I had at the desk was very distant focus wise when we approached. On my booking, their checking in police was stated as: - Check-in time starts at 3:00 PM - Check-in time ends at midnight - Minimum check-in age is: 18. I approached the small desk with my booking number (the email confirmation) at the desk. The very half arsed guy asked for ID, which wasn't a requirement. I've been to many hotels prior and have never been asked that. He made it difficult trying to say I need proof of ID, which I never carry a wallet. He then asked if I had a photo of ID, which is wrong even if asking for ID. Now despite this I was happy we had our room as this was for a 30th Birthday Celebration in BHam, but it ended up not being the end of this. Said guy that sorted our digital keys set them up to expire a day earlier than we were supposed to leave. Shout out to the other receptionist James, he sorted out our keys and realised the other dopey guy made an mistake. Genuinely had a good experience with him and made me feel welcomed."

"Central place .rooms are extra small specially if you are bit overweight you have to think about staying in this hotel , didn’t took breakfast so not sure , "

"Hotel is immaculate and clean, as if it was new. All staff very helpful and professional. Only downside is, if you want to stop the fan and light being on constantly, you have to pull the room card out of it's slot. Making the required trip to 'ease springs' in the early hours an adventure. Otherwise first class."

"Super friendly staff, very accommodating, and even went above and beyond to make our birthday guest feel welcome with a message and balloons. Bag drop was offered, and they even dropped some balloons in the room for us as to keep the surprise."

"Room was booked for 27/28 March. Got a called on the 24th to say the room was unavailable and they were cancelling my room. All alternative hotel prices weee now up 50%. Had to cancel 1 days stay in birmingham and footed a train alteration fee. Will NEVER book at the cube again! "
