Lovely comfortable bed, excellent breakfast, friendly staff

Very nice room with typical english charm. Not sure about the shower stall in the bedroom with clear glass walls! Little things like a hook to hang a towel, or something to place a second suitcase on (rather than the floor) would be a good idea. Breakfast selection was great. Nice bar area for cocktails. We did not stay for dinner so cannot comment there. Staff very friendly and professional. Plenty of parking.

Beautiful hotel! The room was spacious and clean with an amazing view! We had a great dinner and breakfast there and enjoyed walking around the property as well as in Goring.

Excellent cooked to order breakfast and a good selection of wines and champagnes at very reasonable prices. Room was clean and comfortable with crisp sheets and comfy pillows. Great for a short stay.

Staying at Ye Olde Red Lion was a fun experience. It is probably the most unique place I've stayed with its blending of old, old and new and updated rooms. I would stay here again. We were in Arran Room which was very nice other than the mattress should be replaced. It is uncomfortable. The outside grounds need some cleaning and TLC, too. The hotel was great! Very nice place, nice rooms. Bathrooms were all updated despite the inn being 500 years old. Beds were comfortable, there was enough space for our family of 4 in the family room. Very neat old building with the huge old wood beams. Innkeepers were very welcoming. Inn itself was quiet, but we had a little noise from the street as our windows were open and they were right about the entrance to the pub downstairs, so we would hear conversations of those coming and going from...

Loved our stay at the Crab & Boar, a quintessential English country inn. The staff is friendly, easygoing, quite helpful and even went above and beyond for us. Dave and Tammy were fantastic. The food was quite good. Prices seem reasonable. Drive to close by Newbury is a short distance. Very nice and handy Speedy Queen launderette in town. Quiet but for the occasional car whizzing by.
