In fact the chairs in great room are brand new have been upgraded from the picture. Kitchen is very functional and has a newly remodeled look. The lake house is great for relaxing with a view. "This is our third stay at Doug and Janet's property, and they NEVER disappoint!! Four grandkids' now ages 4, 6, 15, and 18. Everyone as usual had a GREAT time fishing, swimming, kayaking, swinging on swing set, hammock, and smores at the firepit. Property has Everything you could possibly need and more for your stay!!! "Needed a quiet place to unwind for a couple of days. This place checked ALL of the boxes...quiet cove, beautiful view and a porch with a swing! While we were there for a quiet time, I think a family would find it enjoyable as well. Oh and didn't want to forget how clean the house was. The bed was comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked with anything you might need to prepare a quiet gourmet meal or a big family feast! "Location was great, dock was nice. Water was really shallow so we had to put the trim up and float in. Nearby Marina that was suggested didn’t allow launching because of damaged launch. Storm was rolling in so we tried to take the boat to the house… owner said there was lots of room. The angle of the driveway was prohibitive for backing a boat trailer in. Aside from that, the space was decorated nicely. Kitchen was well stocked with dishes. Grill on deck was nice. Unfortunately, the place...

"Spent the weekend here for a sporting event. This is just a fantastic spot. The lake is besutiful, the water is accessible and shallow for the kiddos. Tje gome is cozy and well appointed. The only thing missing is a swcond bathroom, socif you have a large party, be aware, but everything else was comfortable and perfect. Will stay again."

"We enjoyed everything about our weeklong stay at the Kiser Cottage. The house was so unique, down to the spiral staircase leading up to the loft that our kids loved. The boat rental was so convenient, and we spent every afternoon/evening at the dock. Earl was a great host and we had everything we needed for a relaxing week at Lake Norman. "This stay was perfect. The views were amazing. The property provided everything one could think of. We’ve never stayed somewhere that we didn’t have to bring trash bags, paper towels, toilet paper, and dish soap. They even provided hygiene products, towels and sheets, coffee, creamer, sugar, paper plates, napkins and utensils. When I say everything, I mean everything. We highly recommend this rental and plan to go again as soon as we can. "
