"Exactly what we needed for a couple days away. The downsides being the provided toilet paper was useless and heated towel rail didn’t seem to work. On the positive side, bed was super comfy, shower was nice and hot, great after a hike. Complimentary breakfast was very simple but also a surprise to us, better than nothing. The room as a whole was a decent size, clean and just what we were looking for"

"Really lovely cottage in the middle of Ambleside. Parking is off-site about 5 minutes away from the property up a very steep hill which wasn’t made explicitly clear so bare that in mind. There is nowhere to quickly park your car to unload bags or collect the resident’s parking permit so you have to pay for parking first. The showers were nice but honestly quite dirty with lots of black marks (possibly mould) on the shower head and the silicone which put us off using one of them. Besides that...

"Opening the windows and doors, the breeze is heavenly. When everything is closed, it is a bit musty. Great to have a nice kitchen, large bathroom with great water pressure. Great location, close and walkable to center of town, but also quiet and peaceful. Unfortunately we had packed thinking the washing machine was working, which it is not. "Loved the room and the view. Very comfortable but no heating. (Sept). Fine the first night but was cold the second night. Light breakfast was help yourself. Was ok but would have been better if they had plates for your toast and metal cutlery. All cutlery was wooden and cardboard dishes for cereal. Didn’t put us off though. Had a lovely time."

"This cottage is very characterfu, cosy and well equipped. The location is very quiet yet just a short walk to all the amenities Ambleside has to offer. Points that I would note are, the parking permit that you get allows you to park for free in MOST of the car parks in Ambleside but at very busy periods it can be very difficult to find a space, and we found this made us feel very anxious about travelling around during the day. It would be good if the bath plug was fixed an upgrade on the TV would be good, other than that I would recommend a stay here."
