Beautiful location. The views of the countryside were amazing. Food was great. Breakfast was very good and we enjoyed dinner there every night.

This was our first night in our UK trip and was arguably the best place we could stay to introduce us to this country. Our room was small but the stone walls and lovely decor made it feel simultaneously rustic and contemporary. The bathroom was well designed and had a wonderful shower that was just what we needed after 15 hours of travel. The bed was a dream, I haven’t slept that well in a long time. An absolute gem of a hotel. Wonderful in all respects!

Breakfast was spectacular. They make their own bread! The people were lovely. The check-in process was ridiculously simple and straightforward. The on-site was easy. The room was comfortable and clean. We will definitely stay here again!

My family of four stayed in this lovely inn at the end of December 2015. We were looking for a place to stay between attending a Manchester United Football game and visiting the English countryside. This location was perfect! It allowed us to stay out of the city in a more relaxed and less commercial inn, so that we could truly get a feel for the area. This property is beyond a ten in every way, it is everything an English country cottage should be. The village is delightful and the local pubs and people are very friendly. Lots of lovely walks. We were sad to leave.

Decor is nice and furnishings luxurious. Fresh milk in the fridge for the Nespresso maker and a bottle of water! Comfy bed and spacious room and large bathroom.

The rooms were spacious, charmingly decorated, and clean. The staff could not do enough for us, even postponing a scheduled fire drill because we told the breakfast staff I was planning on taking a jet lag nap before going out to explore the countryside. Meals were absolutely delicious with a great take on traditional favourites. A must stay!

Fantastic hotel, looks great for weddings, it’s secluded and quiet. Beautiful property and great breakfast!

Loved it! Cute town and lovely breakfast. Nice restaurant at the neck back Pecks and casual pub food at the front. On small thing service was slow in the pub food and breakfast. Seems understaffed! Eveything else was great.
