Beautiful location. The views of the countryside were amazing. Food was great. Breakfast was very good and we enjoyed dinner there every night.

If you're seeking the quintessetial English county location, this is it. The scenery is beautiful. There is a wonderful pub and restaurant, where the food is actually exceptional. Our room was fantastic, clean and authentically English. Well-appointed with a comfortable 4-poster bed. The Bull Head Inn seems like a bit of a fairy tale, but is not at all contrived. Truly authentic English charm.

We have no complaints on our stay, we only wished that it would’ve been for longer. Our room was extremely comfortable, breakfast was the best! We will be back to explore the area and will definitely try and stay here again

We stayed at The Cavendish Hotel on the Chatsworth Estate last October and loved the area and Chatsworth itself. The Devonshire Arms in Pilsey is also lovely, but more casual. We had a room in the farmhouse with a four poster bed and it was very comfortable. Note it sems every village in Derbyshire has a pub/inn called the Devonshire Arms so you DO need to specify Pilsey to get the correct one. This place was spectacular!! We wish would could have stayed longer!! The cottage was beautifully done, the staff was so kind, and how cool to have sheep and cows right out our front door!! We highly recommend staying here and we will be back!!!

My family of four stayed in this lovely inn at the end of December 2015. We were looking for a place to stay between attending a Manchester United Football game and visiting the English countryside. I saved up for this trip for years, so decided I would splurge a few times on hotels and the Cavendish was one of them. I was not disappointed! The bathroom was really clean with quality fixtures. The room was beautiful and the bed comfortable. It's on an old farm on the outskirts of town so it was really quiet.

If you are looking for a spot that has character this, is it, it was a cozy old place above a pub. We went in the off season, so we had the place to ourselves. Nice little bookshelf filled with some fun activities to pass extra time off devices too! The food in the pub was not great for the price we paid, but the breakfast was amazing!
