"The staff is nice. Virginian Motel is under new management. The staff knows me because I was here for 4 days before, and I was here one more time before then, and that was since my birthday in November of last year. The staff is kind, the property is good, the cleanliness and fantastic, the amenities are nice, I just wish there were outlets next to the bed to plug phone chargers in, and I wish there was a mini refrigerator to put things that need to be cold in, like certain medications, and beverages and such, otherwise fantastic! I definitely recommend staying at Virginian Motel!"

"The bungalow was exactly as described by the listing and the pictures and was appropriately priced. The house was very clean and well stocked with essentials. The decor was very nice, beds and furniture were comfortable. The host was extremely responsive. The neighborhood was quiet. We enjoyed sitting on the porch many times. We had a great stay. "

"We have stayed at this hotel several times a year, every time we attend an event at the Harvester. Over the years, the condition of the property continues to decline. The side entrance door does not close securely making it easy for non guests to enter. The bathroom shower curtain had dark black hairs all over it. The shampoo, conditioner and soap dispensers have been removed. The ceiling in the bathroom has mold on it. Very disappointing as this has been our go to hotel wherever we are in Rocky Mount for a night of music. We will be looking for a different place to stay next month. "

"They loved my dog Stella, giving her homemade treats and a cute bandana! Very welcoming everywhere at the property including the formal dining room, she was complimented the entire time on her exemplary behavior. The staff here is second to none, the room stunning as well as the lodge and the views. Next time we will make sure to bring some grocery items since it is VERY remote, but a wonderful place because of it."
