We had a great stay at the Sugar Loaf. Room was clean, comfortable and had a beautiful view from our balcony. Yes, rooms are dated but we liked the nostalgia. We will stay here again the next time we visit the Keys.

The staff was friendly, the Lodge is severely in need of restoration/remodel. Rooms are very outdated, the outside tiki bar looks like it’s been abandoned for years. If you’re just looking for a reasonable place to stay and don’t really care about the outdated facility, this is your place. Overall our stay was pleasant and the room was clean.

Staff was wonderful. Room is sweet and on pretty piece of water. Aging property, but well kept. Quiet, clean, good shower, comfy beds. Quick trip to key west. Great deal for the money. Very happy this is where we landed.

This was an excellent value for the price - the room was spacious and clean, the property was quiet. There was a beautiful view with a balcony. I could not have been happier with my experience!

Very nice property. Owner/Staff were fantastic. I love the life-long effort the family has put into the property. View off the deck is great. Free, good, coffee at the Tiki Bar in the mornings. Overall, the mid-century modern aesthetic is awesome in my opinion. All items worked. Ice machine, ice bucket, clean (linens, room, floors, surfaces, bath fixtures) and a farmer's market outside on Wednesdays. Really a great spot with a short drive to Key West. We will return.

Room was by clean enough. No coffee maker, no microwave. Tiki bar was never open except for coffee in the morning (self serve). Cleaning staff do not make beds. View was great, as were front desk staff. Grounds were clean and well maintained.
