2/10 Terrible

"No communication from staff, there is a mobile number to ring but it’s never answered. Boiled a kettle and the fire alarm went off. Dirty rooms last decorated in the the 1980s probably. Mould around the shower. Very grim place to stay"

"Stains on the carpet. Extractor fan in the bathroom not working. A wet room for showering meant that the water sprayed over the rest of the room and around the toilet, not very nice if the toilet was wanted later. We were there at a very cold time and the heating in the room was switched off about 6 every evening so we had to go to reception and ask for it to be switched on again every evening."

"The room was a little worn, air con didn’t work, the radiator made a noise through the night, the wooden strip going into the bathroom was lifted so stubbed toe a couple of times. Bathroom was very tight. Bed was comfy. The bar didn’t have the greatest choice, shuts early so not very good if travelling from afar like us, with late check in. Staff were nice, convent location. Would stop there again just not in room 244."

"When we arrived we were not even sure if it was the right place- just looked an out the back pub, which is what it turned out to be. We paid and were shown to our room (16). Very compact, there was mould on the bathroom ceiling and a very frosted window. No wardrobe and very little storage space. The TV didn't work while we were there. A knock at the door, out card hasn't been accepted, yet I had a receipt. On checking, it has been accepted! To get to the room, there is a narrow corridor."
