"Beautiful property and landscaping. Really kind staff, hard-working, but slow service. Which is fine if you are up for a long relaxed meal. Probably a little understaffed.. Everyone worked very hard. Room was very nice but a little dated the bed was slightly soft for my comfort but very rich and historic site. "

We didn't eat there on our stay, but returned a few days later to collect my husbands hoody, left in the room, and had tea there which was lovely.

"Honestly, the best hotel I have ever stayed in. The staff were always so welcoming, friendly and helpful. Our rooms were cosy, very clean and quiet. Everything about the hotel was lovely. Very handy to have a grocery store opposite and a great bakery in the town. Lots of good cafes and shops nearby and beautiful parkland within a short walking distance. "
