"I have stayed here several times as it is situated in a great position with ample parking. I had never stayed in a ground floor room previously but the room smelled of damp and this was worrying and unpleasant. My stay was only 1 day so I put up with this, if I had stayed longer, I would have reported this to the staff."

"Good experience. Only gripes. 1) Main meal option not available and we were sitting at 715pm so not that late. 2) Being in a room beside the road there was early noise from Bin collections.Could benefit from Double glazing to minimise some traffic noise during the day.Little at night.May be a issue as a listed builsing ? Overall minor gripes."

"It’s a lovely hotel. A little bit dated now, in places, but overall really nice in a nice setting and location. The staff were friendly although there were a few occasions things were asked for and not delivered on. I put this down to them being young and maybe not fully engaged with their roles. Could maybe do with some senior leadership to raise standards to where they could easily be. I would recommend and I would stay again. Just manage your expectations. Don’t expect the best. But overall a comfortable and enjoyable stay. I paid for breakfast both mornings. The food quality was great but often things were missing and not replenished. A little disappointing at £16 pp price point."

"The room was clean, bed was comfy. The door in the bathroom allowed the loo to be separated. Breakfast was good ..very busy . Location was fine"
