"Very nice views. The house came with a kayak so take a trip up the little rivers nearby. You are out of Taupo so you can be right up to the lake (in town, the road is there) and have the beach out the patio. The flowers on the beach were nice in the late spring. The house had all the conveniences and was clean. The BBQ was a nice touch. The house got only four stars because it the Bachcare stocking of it seemed skimpy - we are expected to clean up but were provided a half roll of paper towels...

"The location was lovely, nicely removed from town centre but still close enough to go into town for the market and shopping. The house did feel a little unfinished, paint swatches on the walls and lots of cracks and some signs of water damage. I did find my self having to clean up a number of dead bugs from around the house and cleaning the bathroom windows to remove toothpaste and dust from previous people. Over all the house is in a lovely spot with a nice view, it was cozy enough but just...

"This hotel is very tired. Check in was 3pm, yet many of the rooms were not ready until after 4pm. Other customers (Mainly overseas tourists) were given a drink voucher because their room wasn't ready, but we weren't or neither was another Kiwi guest. We eventually asked for one about 1/2 hour later & were given one. The bar area where people were waiting for their rooms wasn't big enough to accommodate everyone. Rooms had been updated but bathrooms were tired. The shower was very small & the lighting over the mirror was very dim, no good for my wife putting on her makeup. The food was excellent & so was the heated swimming pool, although there were no towels in the area, they had all been used & not topped up. Location is good & the views are lovely."
