"We had a truly relaxing stay at Murrayshall for a special birthday. It’s in such a beautiful setting and the house has tasteful decor in keeping with its Scottish surroundings. We stayed in one of suites a very short walk from the main house, they are very spacious. The staff are really friendly and always wanting to help, plenty of variety at breakfast which can also be made to order. Special shout out to the breakfast team - Dianne in particular, so attentive friendly and welcoming as well as hard working. Lots of activities on site including golf and outdoor pursuits. Would highly recommend for a mini break to recharge. "

"Hotel in process of an update so pool, bar, dining area and reception area all very tastefully decorated annd looks lovely . Outside area is great too. All staff are excellent and very welcoming! Really enjoyed our time there and already booked up for a return visit in July"

"Perfect little place to stay along the travels. We appreciated the amenities, but the appetizers we ordered were obviously free dried and not fresh at all. Bland and ridiculously small portions. We were so unimpressed we didn’t bother spending money on food there. "

Very friendly and welcoming staff, stunning grounds and gardens, excellent breakfast, very nice food in the evening with an outstanding waiter who served me, and as a solo traveller, I felt very safe, welcomed and included. "We loved this hotel. It was so charming, loved the history, the high ceilings were delightful, as was the classic feel, accessible in all the ways-parking lot, lift. Loved the views of the city, breakfast was fantastic, AJ at the desk and Lorine in the restaurant were lovely. Only wished there were more friendly family restaurants in the immediate area. "
